Hyla Wults Fox has been immersed in the antique world for more than twenty-five years as a photographer and journalist, author, lecturer, broadcaster, consultant, vintage jewelry dealer and collector. From her Toronto base Fox has written two highly acclaimed books: ANTIQUES: AN ILLUSTRATED GUIDE FOR THE CANADIAN COLLECTOR, published by Methuen, Canada and ANTIQUES: THE SURVIVAL KIT FOR THE CANADIAN COLLECTOR, published by Dundurn Press. Hyla's articles have appeared in many Canadian and American general and antique-related periodicals including The National Post, The Globe & Mail and for ten years, she wrote an antiques column which was published in the Saturday edition of the Toronto Star. She has reported on, commented about and discussed antiques for such periodicals as Canadian Living, Homemakers, Chatelaine, The Maine Antique Digest and the Upper Canadian to name a few. Ms. Fox is a founding member of the Canadian Freelance Union as well as belonging to many other organizations including the Professional Writers Association of Canada.
