The first thirty people to come to the shop will receive a gift bag stuffed with all manner of treasures, that will include a Fridge Art Magnet, with a Hyla Fox photograph. Hyla will be in attendance as she is having a sale of matted works and some lucky customers will be getting a 20% off coupon for a photo session in Hyla’s studio. To hear more about a few other surprises Hyla is planning, be sure to pop in Friday evening, for the invitation only gathering!

FAVOURITE IMAGES

From December 1, 2009 to January 1, 2010, Hyla Fox will have a display of some select images at Starbucks, in the Upper Beach, Toronto at Bingham and Kingston Road. On view will be some of her framed images and gallery wraps.

MUSE 09: GREY MATTERS

Muse 09: Grey Matters, a celebration of inspiration and creativity in the arts, was held at Shamba Space, 48 Yonge Street, Thursday, October 22, 2009, Toronto. This event celebrated local artistic achievement and cultural diversity while donating funds to expanding the world-class Brainn Sciences Program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Hyla Fox donated a large size, gallery wrap image printed on canvas to the silent auction in honor of her friend Sigal, who was treated at this hospital for brain cancer. To read the story that actually led to Hyla’s involvement with this campaign, check out her blog dated October 21, 2009: Muse 09: Grey Matters.
